User Interface

MarineDex is a FREE online marine directory for the superyacht industry. Click here and fill out the simple registration form to register. To user this tutorial page please login to you account and follow the links below.

Editing contact details

 

To edit your contact details login to your account or select Account on any of the pages of the site. You'll know if you are logged if the Register button has been replaced with Account at the top of everypage of the website. From your dashboard you can either select Personal Details on the menu bar on the left hand side. You can also select the small pencil above to summary of you personal details on your dashboard.

Adding businesses to Favourites and Address Book

 

To add business to your favourites and address book please login to your account. Select the MarineDex logo at the top of the page to start your search. Once you have found the business or the service you have been looking for you will notice three small icons on both the results page and the listing page. The "blue card with the small face logo" is to add businesses to Address Book. The "Star" is to add businesses to your Favourites and the "note book" is to create a Notes for yourself about the business for later.

To view your contacts select Account when logged into your account to choice from the menu on the left hand side of the dashboard or select the links below

 


Rating businesses and leaving comments

 

To rate a business and leave a comment you must first login to your account. Once you have logged in select how many stars you wish to give the business on either the results page or their listing page with MarineDex. A comments box will then appear where you can leave comments about the services that business to attach to the rating you gave the business. 

Comments are anonymous to users and businesses and are screened at random by the MarineDex support team. Miss treatment of the system will force MarineDex support staff to remove you from the system see terms and condition for further details.

 

View History

 

To save time when trying to remember what businesses you have been searching or just used we created a view history.

To use this system you must first be logged into your account. Once logged in the system then records your travels through the site for the past 7 days. Giving you the chance to quickly find a business; to contact them again for additional services, share the contact with a friend or review their services so that others can benefit from your experience.

To view history go to your dashboard and select History from the menu on the left hand side of the screen.

 

Referring businesses to MarineDex


MarineDex hosts the only online referral systems for businesses and crew that allows you to add companies to the MarineDex database; to store, share and rate for all professsionals in the marine industry to benefit from your experience. This form of social sharing is simular to what already happens with word of mouth and is the next phase of online networking. Users that refer new companies to the system can also earn comission on money spent by those business in our system.

Removing your details from MarineDex

 

If you wish to remove your details from the MarineDex system simply login to your account and your dashboard and select the red crossed circle next to your name. You can re-register as a user or business at.
